Umur was borned on February 18, 1981, in Nicosia, Cyprus. After studying BSc in Computer Engineering, went to Virginia Tech with full casp scholoarship from Fulbright Cyprus where he received his masters degree in Computer Science.
Having strong development skills, worked in Comtech Ltd. a local ISP and IT services company. Upgraded inhouse software systems and combined them under a single web based automation using Java Servlets. In addition to development, worked as System Administrator to build and support server architecture.
In 2010 joined Thomson Reuters as software support executive. Supported clients in financial markets with transaction software and information desktops. After 2015 also served as Innovation Champion and participated in various development hackathons.
He wants to further develop his Javascript skills. He sees AWS and other Cloud platforms as the next deployment platform with native Machine Learning capabilities. He also thinks Blockchains are the future of transaction networks and he invests in crypto currencies.
